We have Sunday School classes at 9:45 a.m. followed by Worship Services every Sunday at 11:00 a.m. We also have Bible Study and worship on Wednesday night’s starting starting at 7 p.m.
Antioch’s worship services would be considered a mixed service by most, incorporating newer praise and worship songs as well as the wonderful old hymns of years gone by. We currently enjoy the musical talents of several pianists, an organist, a violinist, and even the occasional treat of the Q-cord, echo harp, and accordion. We celebrate the Lord through music once every quarter when we employ the God given talents of those within the body to share their hearts in song.
Our typical service consists of a call to worship song, followed by a time of greeting each other with a hug and a handshake, immediately followed by a brief time of announcements of church ministry activities, a time of prayer, worship through offerings to further the ministries of the church, a choir special (which will knock your socks off under the leadership of Choir Director, Jenny Lynn Davis) all in preparation for the delivering and hearing of God’s word by Pastor Dave.
Once our Pastor has concluded his message all present have the opportunity to spend time in prayer on that old-fashioned altar, or act on any decisions they feel God calling them to. All of these events are for the sole purpose of glorifying and worshipping God, and although mingled with appropriate humor and joy are done with reverence and order thereby fulfilling scriptural mandates.
